Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. [Proverbs 4:23]
What gets you in difficulty time after time? What do you believe leads you wrong? How serious should we take our souls? All the issues, problems, dark & evil thoughts, great ideas, and love, as well as hate, spring out from our inner being. Someone said, “what what goes in, comes out eventually.” How can you and I “guard our hearts”? I believe we can control what we take in.. good things, Godly things, heavenly things or things which are “earthly, sensual & demonic”. If Jesus lives within us, by His Spirit, then what comes out our mouths and what is evident in our lives will glorify Him.
So, watch out what you put in, meditate on, surround yourself with. There is an old computer axiom- GIGO- “garbage in, garbage out”. Seems like that might work in the spiritual realm as well.
